We are officially snowed in! Two feet of snow and not a plow in sight. I love the stillness when this much snow falls. The sun is making everything sparkle and the cats are all snoozing in the window sills. Today's piece is primaries only. By layering, other colors subtly peek through.
Primo Strata is made of needle felted Corriedale.

Glad you are snug at home :) This makes me think of of those huge energy storms in Star Trek. Fingers of energy everywhere. Even looks like there is a vortex or two in the detail. :)
Corinna, is Primo Strata part of a larger piece? Both it and Let It Begin don't show finished edges the way Spirals or Skyward or Tell Me More. Tell me more! I'm curious!
Hi Dotty, I photographed those 2 pieces just inside the edges. Wanted to have more of a close up feel. When I did watercolor for the last challenge, I cropped each painting, doing flips, rotations, etc. just to see how it looked from a different perspective. Wonder when Leslie will get the upload button up and running? :)
Aha! Thanks for explaining. Love that you "break the rules," so to speak in your posting, i.e. you crop, do flips, rotate, and have yourself a grand ol' time with your creative energy!
Nice! It's a great reminder that all the colours in the world come from red, yellow and blue. Stay warm and safe.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Joan. I marvel that everything begins with the 3. Here's to staying warm...
DeleteBeautiful, Corinna! And I'm up and running now!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Laurie. Got my first email from your list today..yay! Glad it is up and running.

ReplyDeleteYeah, good to be home. Will take a day or so for the big blanket to melt.
DeleteHmmm, like a big electrical storm....in color
