I remember one day hearing someone say, "Fancy that!" in response to what another person was telling them. Not long after, I heard others describe how they'd fancy this or that object, food, or experience. There was a lightness to it, a playful request or declaration. It seemed to me, yet another way of saying, "Wouldn't it be nice if...." Sometimes the turnaround for that wish was quick and they ended up receiving that very thing they fancied.
Today, think about what you might fancy...getting together with a friend, some inspiration for a creative venture, or a delightful surprise of some kind. Anything is possible.
Fancy That! is made of wet and needle felted Corriedale, Merino silk, cotton, glass heart bead and assorted smaller glass beads.
Corinna, I love your invitations to readers. I took a drink of the sky on Monday, stopped to admire the perfect match of my handpainted orange-and-blue bookmark and the book I'm reading with its orange-and-blue cover yesterday, and today I'm fancying a pause midday to sit on my bed under the skylight to read a chapter of my orange-and-blue book!
Sheesh! I guess I will need to start paying you as an editor! :) Thank you for that. Will also step up the coffee. Thought that 2 cups would do the trick! Glad you took me up on my invitation. Fun to hear about what you saw and experienced. Oh, btw...I saw your lovely bookmark that goes with the matching book.Orange looks amazing with the blues/greens you put with it.
Fancy that … it's day 3, not day 2!
