After making this one, it looked like something that came from the sea...blue swirling currents, a few pearly beads, and small sparkly bits that reminded me of sea glass. I can almost hear the surf....
Gifts of the Sea is made of wet and needle felted Corriedale and Merino silk with cotton, seed and glass beads.
Anne Morrow Lindbergh says in Gift from the Sea, "One cannot collect all the beautiful shells on the beach. One can collect only a few, and they are more beautiful if they are few ... For it is only framed in space that beauty blooms." Corinna, with Gifts of the Sea, and so many of your pieces, you select just the right few bits to frame in space, giving bloom to beauty.
