MARCH 2016. FELTED CREATURES. Day 14. TALL POPPY
Tall Poppy (she is only 4.5" x 1", but is MUCH taller at 11" x 5" by being on a stand) is made of needle felted wool, silk throwsters, and a tall metal thing I found in a junk shop.

Corinna, love Tall Poppy! What fun to hear the back story and learn a bit of culture/sociology. Your display is also magnificent. I love seeing your props, and picturing your setting everything up for you photo shoots : )
ReplyDeleteMy immediate thought when I read the back story was to wonder what Brené Brown would say about Tall Poppy Syndrome. Are you familiar with Brené Brown's work?
Yes, about Brown's work. I actually saw a video of hers yesterday. I do wonder how she'd see it. Reading about tall poppy led to finding out about crab mentality. That formed an image in my mind right away!
