I used the CD as a template, wrapping the wool around it and rubbing the whole thing gently against the bubble wrap to mingle all the fibers. After that, had to trim around the edges and go from there. I found it cumbersome to use the template so went back to just creating small circles separately. Nice to be able to experiment and play with new techniques. Never know where it will lead or how it will all turn out. One big fun adventure, anyway.
Sometimes deviating from the regular path yields surprising new results.
This piece, Red n White, is a commissioned piece made of wet felted Merino with stone beads.
Corinna, your flowers are beautiful. The blues and hints of teals that the photo allowed in Sea Rose were soothing and undulating, and I loved the center beads which evoked thoughts of coral. Red n White above brought to mind the spider lace one often sees early in the morning on a lawn or shrub before the dew evaporates.

Don't you love the dew covered webs and lace that show up in the garden? Some of this wool gets very spindly and leaves a delicate web of sorts on the surface. I'm never really sure how it will look.
DeleteStop already with these gorgeous flowers :) Really, don't stop. The beads in this are like a buried treasure, so delightful. And the white areas, remind me of those cacti that look deceivingly fluffy and soft.
