| Tweaked buddies |
Pulled these kitties out that I'd done recently and added more texture. Might do an experiment by making something over a long period of time, working on it weekly over several months. I've followed the work of painters who continuously modify their work and I'm fascinated by observing the transformations. The works become more complex, richer in color, texture and composition. Watching the unfolding is something to see.
Retweaked Kitties are made of needle felted wool.
As you know, I'm increasingly identifying as a tweaker! While I have many early pieces that I will leave intact, your discussion above wakes me up to consider all the earlier pieces I might want to revisit for the sake of pure ongoing play. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhere DO you tuck away all your art? It's one thing to work small on paper as I've been doing for the past few months—my tucking aside takes little space. But 3D felted creatures seem like a whole different kettle of fish (or basket of kitties, etc.), and I gather that you work in many different media. Do tell!
I love ALL your work, but I think "Another Fluffy Fish"may be my favorite!!
