January 2016 Day 28 Painting Challenge

Looked at some flower imagery and went for a summery feel, working a bit larger this time, 12" x 12". Started this one with wet felting, some oven drying, and then needle felting and beads. Added a fringe on the bottom for fun.

Flora is made of Corriedale, Merino, beads and fringe.

See everyone's work on Leslie's painting blog here .

Leave a comment to be entered into a drawing to receive a Gefelte Fish piece (see the item here).

Only a few more days and the challenge is over. It's sure been fun having a look at what everyone is making.

  1. This makes me think of Van Gogh's sunflowers. They way you have the petals. So pretty Corinna! Love the colors!

    1. Thank you, Sheila. Flowers are a great source of ideas..

  2. ooooh, the texture, the wisps, the teeny seed beads, the surprise micro pops of color!

  3. Love the warm reds and the flower motif. Yesterday's is so cute.

  4. Thank you, Joan. Haven't done too much with flowers..thought it might be a fun way to go.:)

  5. Love this one Corinna! Such vibrant pretty color combination...are we ready for Spring or what?

  6. Feels like spring now, Renee! That heap of snow melted in a big hurry.
