FEBRUARY 2016 Day 23 Untitled

Untitled
Another piece using a two color palette. I've always like the combination of red with black and when keeping it in mind, it seems to show up in different places. Titles for pieces usually show up somewhere in the process, but this one didn't whisper its name to me.

Untitled (2 1/4" x 3") is made of needle felted Corriedale.

  1. Buckingham Palace Guard!

The colors are stunning. Very regal and classy. I like the softnesses of the curves, offsetting the stand-up-straight-and-don't-blink nature of this particular two-color palette

  2. Why do black and red work so well together?
I like your description...thank you, Dotty.

  3. These were my high school colors, so they have a special place in my heart. I love the graphic nature of these limited palette pieces. Mixed with the softness of the material... stunning!
